Hi, I’m Kristen!

Hi, I’m Kristen—the teacher, maker, and creative heart behind Glamour Girl Designs.

This adventure began in 2020, when COVID had us staying home and I needed something to do. I started making wooden earrings, and once I got the hang of those, my curiosity led me to resin, then leather. But clay? Clay intimidated me!

My first clay earrings were…let’s just say I’ve come a long way. But I kept practicing. People supported me, cheered me on, and gave me the confidence to keep going. Somewhere along the way, a boredom-busting hobby became a passion I absolutely love.

Today, I create everything from playful everyday earrings to custom pieces that celebrate your favorite things. I love turning an idea into something you can wear and making those tiny details feel personal.

A teacher at heart

I taught elementary school for 21 years, and now, in my 22nd year of teaching, I’m teaching high school. I also occasionally teach jewelry-making classes! After being so nervous to try clay myself, getting to help someone else take that first creative step feels especially meaningful.

Beyond the earrings

When I’m not teaching or creating, you might find me skiing or traveling. I discovered both skiing and jewelry-making around age 39—proof that you don’t have to find all your favorite things early in life!

I share my life with my wonderfully supportive husband, Errol, and our beloved furbabies. Creating, exploring, and spending time with them are some of my favorite things.
